Adam Rivadeneyra, M.D.Board Certified Primary Care Sports Medicine
Dr. Riva is a Board Certified Sports Medicine Physician with a background in Family Medicine. He sees patients of all ages (4 years and older) and treats them all like “athletes” . His practice includes non-surgical Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, sports concussion management, ultrasound-guided injections, lumbar spine and epidural injections, and comprehensive medical care for elite athletes. He also has expertise in regenerative medicine treatments including platelet rich plasma (PRP) and bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC-Stem Cells) injections.
Dr. Riva studied Biology and Economics at UC San Diego and worked in the Biotech industry before attending Ross University School of Medicine. He completed a Family Medicine Residency at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City where he served as a Team Physician for a number of high schools and local colleges. He also served as a Team Physician for the OKC Dodgers (AAA MLB), Oklahoma City Blue (NBA G-League), and the Oklahoma City Barons (AHL Hockey). Dr. Riva moved to Fort Worth, TX to complete a Sports Medicine Fellowship with John Peter Smith Hospital where he served as a Team Physician for Texas Christian University (TCU), covering the Horned Frogs Football, Baseball, Basketball, Track and Field, Tennis, Volleyball and Soccer teams.
Prior to joining OSI, Dr. Riva practiced in Ventura, CA with Community Memorial Health System and spent time as a volunteer Team Physician for Pepperdine University. He has a passion for patient education and enjoys an individualized approach to care based on the patient's health history and goals. He is a Sports Medicine faculty member at Hoag Orthopedic Institute and participates in frequent activities for continuing medical education, along with research and faculty development.
